Birthday card for my Grandpa's 88th Birthday

This card was inspired by a tag made by a customer of ours. She had sent it to me via e-mail...and I just happened to be needing inspiration for a birthday card I was going to make that very day for my Grandpa. Thanks PK for giving me the inspiration I needed to make the above card!
Above is the card with matching envelope.
Kraft Cardstock base, Manilla paper, Tim Holtz Sizzix #8 tag die, Tim Holtz Sizzix Artful Dwellings Die, Tim Holtz Mini gears Movers & Shapers die, Vagabond, Tim Holtz Steampunk edge die, plastic packaging (used for gear edge), Alcolol inks & tools by Ranger, Archival inks by Ranger, Tim Holtz Distress inks & blending tools, Tim Holtz stamps by Stamper's Anonymous, Studio G Birthday stamp, Miscellaneous Tim Holtz embellishments by Advantus, some vintage metal embellishments found at an office supply store that has since closed down. Oh...and metal foil tape (from our hardware store), Sizzix diamond plate embossing folder.
If you like this card, please leave a comment letting me know you have been by to visit our blog.

Below is Barb Ryuns interpretation of the above card...Really love her version!
I really love the use of recycled netting as a background. It adds lots of texture & interest to her design!
Way to go Barb!

Anniversary Card - Special request

This is a card I made at the request of a customer. It was for his wife for their 20th Wedding Anniversary. His specifications were for me to make a card with yellow and pink roses on it.
The card was made using Core'dinations Pearlescent cardstock in gold lame and silver. I used a rose background stamp and stamped it with spun sugar Distress Ink and then used Spun Sugar Distress Embossing powder over it. The lace I got at a thrift store...I spritzed it with Snow Queen Glimmer Mist. Pink pearls were made using the Flamingo Liquid Pearls by Ranger. Scallop was made using an original Sizzix die.

We now have a QR code!

Today, under the techy instruction of my uber favorite cousin from Germany, I created our very first QR code. Our QR code will be included on all future outgoing e-mails and on our business cards...and maybe even eventually t-shirts! Then whenever someone sees it and scans it, they will be directed to this blog.

As I learn more about navigating the world of blogging, I am hoping to utilize this blog as a tool where all visitors can come to learn everything they need to know about what is currently going on at the Cr@ft L@b...i.e. our store location and hours, specials, new product updates, classes, retreats and other events, project tutorials as well as links to other cool sites that we think would be of interest to the general crafting community. I can hardly wait to start printing and posting our code to see where it will take us next. Come along with us on this journey into the techy world.
Check out our QR code below!
